Mince 4 cloves of garlic and slice 3 red chili peppers.
In a pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced chili peppers and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant but not too long—just until they are slightly softened.
Add 2 stalks of kari leaves to the pan and toss to combine. Sauté for another minute or so.
Pour in 1/2 cup of milk and a little chicken stock, then stir well.
Add 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 2 slices of cheese; mix until everything is combined and slightly thickened, being careful not to make it too salty.
Head to the freezer section of the supermarket and find mini mantou buns. These are like marshmallows but not marshmallow.
Cook the mantou buns in a pan or microwave them until they become soft and fluffy; about 2-3 minutes per side or as per package instructions.
Serve hot, topping with the buttermilk sauce. Enjoy!
