Prepare the spicy mala chicken by marinating the chicken in a mixture of Bestari Sichuan Mala Spicy flour, water, and seasonings for about 15 to 20 minutes.
While the chicken is marinading, prepare the coleslaw with grated carrots, sliced cabbage, mayonnaise, black pepper powder, a little sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and chill in a container.
For the mashed potato gravy, melt 2-3 tablespoons of butter in a pan, then add 2 tablespoons of wheat flour and cook until it turns brown. Gradually add 1 cup of full cream milk, 1 tablespoon of chicken stock, black pepper powder, and a little salt while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
Boil and mash 3-4 potatoes with 1/3 cup of full cream milk, a little black pepper powder, and 2-3 tablespoons of butter. Mix well to achieve a smooth consistency.
After marinating, coat the chicken in the flour mixture and then double-coat for extra crispiness if desired. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Serve the spicy mala fried chicken with mashed potato, gravy, coleslaw, and enjoy during Iftar.
