Prepare the chicken by cutting it into pieces.
Marinate the chicken with a small amount of soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper powder, sugar, and a little bit of caramelized sugar for crispy skin.
Mix well until the marinade is evenly distributed on the chicken.
Let the chicken marinate for about 10 minutes if you wake up early in the morning. If not, it can be quickly seasoned right before cooking.
Place the marinated chicken in an air fryer basket and set it to 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, remove the chicken from the air fryer.
Brush a little bit of vegetable oil on top of the chicken's skin side.
Return the chicken to the air fryer and bake for an additional 3 minutes.
The chicken is ready when it is nicely browned and crispy.
